FEMINISM

You give us a day
And we are happy
We are highly satisfied and content
That, you remembered us,
That, you gave us a day of the 365.
We never do ask a second time
"Why don't you have a day?"
We are really too stupid to understand,
This gimmick of yours!
We really don't realize
That you give us just a day,
Keeping the remaining for yourselves.

Everyday, you stamp us down
Crush our dreams, our desires under your boots.
And then, on the 8th
Organize rallies, claiming our upliftment!
We do not ever feel you using us
Merely for marketing your goods-
Giving damn offers to celebrate the day.
And we, like beggars content with alms
Appreciate your effortless efforts.

Like a teddy in a kid's hand,
You play with us day and night
Injuring our body, mind and soul.
And then ironically soothe us through
by lovingly caressing the incurable wounds.
Ridiculous, isn't it?

Its humorous, how you first suppress us
And then cry for us to be fine!
Its literally funny
Why you 'intelligent' guys not realize,
That we need not be pitied?
That we can live ourselves?
All we need is a hand
To help us out of this euphoric quicksand.

This isn't a poem
 if you expect exaggerated emotions,
emotive embrasures...or anything of the kind.
This is what you know,
But never try to heartily feel.

Trust me...
I swear by anyone you ask me to.
"We would cease being feminists,
The day society ceases being patriarchal."

Hi friends...back after long...with a few more that I penned...Enjoy like always!!!
